Dr. Alfrey is a leading hematologist in the Texas Medical Center, a researcher for NASA, on staff at the Baylor College of Medicine, the retired medical director of the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and a former President of the Harris County Medical Society.

One of the highlights of the exclusive Ramco portfolio is the "Cand Tec" test, for which Ramco is the exclusive producer worldwide. The "Cand Tec" test is a latex agglutination test for detecting antigen associated with systemic Candidiasis. Other highlights are the 30 years expertise for Ferritin determinations (EIA and RIA) or the EIA microplate assay for quantifying serum transferrin receptor ("Transferrin Receptor").
