BÜHLMANN is very proud to announce that the calprotectin determination in stool starting from January 1^st 2012, has an official new position in the reimbursement list of the Swiss Ministry of Health, increasing even more the availability, and the acceptance within the laboratories and above all, for the patients and doctors, from the specialist to the General Practitioner. The position code for calprotectin analysis is: N 1224.10 and is reimbursed with 61 Swiss Francs.

This has been achieved through excellent collaborations and a hand in hand effort  between the Swiss authorities, independent experts in the medical, the laboratory chemistry and immunology field, as well as BÜHLMANN Laboratories, as one driving force to increase acceptance of the most important and useful biomarker available for IBD diagnosis.

This great achievement is also a very important milestone for reimbursement efforts  in countries that are still on the way to this development. BÜHLMANN is certainly going to be in the lead towards this goal worldwide.

Since 2007 BÜHLMANN is fully commited in improving the position of this invaluable diagnostic  tool and is the market leader for calprotectin determinations with the monoclonal ELISA assay, as well as the rapid and quantitative  Quantum Blue® Calprotectin lateral flow test.

EntroGen has a new BRAF test that detects, beside the V600E mutation, also the V600K and the V600D, which are important mutations found in melanoma. 

The test kit contains 64 reactions and it can be run on all real-time PCR instruments capable of detecting FAM and VIC fluorescent probes.

The EGFR test kit detects 29 mutations and the KRAS-BRAF kit detects 12 mutations. EntroGen’s analysis kits require a real-time PCR instrument capable of detecting FAM and VIC fluorescent probes. All the reagents required for the PCR amplifi­cation/detection, as well as validated reaction controls, are included in the kit.

The new BÜHLMANN assay ACE high sensitive allows the reproducible measurement of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme activity in cerebrospinal fluids (CSF). The assay is the first commercially available CE marked test on the market and can be applied either on microtiter plates or on flexible clinical chemistry analyzers with a limit of detection of 1 U/L.

CSF samples can be measured directly without any dilution. Serum testing is possible as well after a dilution step.

The assay standardization is based on the well established ACE kinetic assay for serum testing from BÜHLMANN.
